On the Right bank halfway between Victoria Bridge and Black Pott’s Railway Bridge a new (2000) flood relief channel rejoins having taken water from above Boulters Lock.

The flood relief scheme consists of a new 11.6km flood relief channel, known as the Jubilee River, that runs to the east of the River Thames. It leaves the main River Thames above Boulter's Weir, North Maidenhead and rejoins it at Black Potts Viaduct, Windsor
